Jessica Gleason was born in Oak Park, Illinois and raised in Glendale Heights, Illinois. She currently resides in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Gleason graduated from The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a BA in English Writing  and Philosophy and a certification in Women’s Studies. She also recieved an MFA in Creative Writing with an Emphasis in Creative Non-Fiction from National University in California. Her thesis can be found in National University’s school library.Gleason is the author of Drunken Boy Night, which was featured in the 2005 Issue of The Muse. You can also find her work in The Writer’s Eye Magazine, The Idiom Magazine, Nefarious Ballerina and at Suite101 Media Inc.

Jessica passes the time as a freelance writer and substitute teacher–if you’re looking to hire, freelancers contact me through the blog and we can work something out.

Gleason has been the recipient of many writing awards including the Angela Peckinpaugh Award for Superior Student Writing and the MAFL State Award for Program Oral Interpretation. Her work has been performed numerous times on the college forensics circuit.

She enjoys karaoke and reading vampire romance novels in her spare time. In short, Jessica Gleason is a woman walking through life with words.
